jails also women do fasting for their husbands and are allowed to see their
face while men in a jail also allowed meeting their wives for the whole day to
fulfill the festival meaning.
In
this era, as some of husbands remain far for their work or due to some official
duty during karva Chauth, wives break their fast by talking their husbands on
phone while seeing the moon through sieve or modern women break their fast by
video chat with their husbands.
It is
clear from the facts that have been observed these days that whether time has been changed a lot from
ancient to new age , the culture, festival is also being modified.
With
new age the culture of applying mehendi
or henna, singing songs is not aborted and still the fast of karva Chauth is
kept nine days before diwali.
